Car hire/Getting about:
If you want to explore yourself then you can hire a car. Prices depend on the size of car and where you hire it from (locally or at the airport). Costs start from about £15.00 per day. If you don’t want to hire a car the local Dolmus bus system runs along the coast road and side roads near to the apartment, they can be flagged down anywhere along the route and are very inexpensive.

Getting to Turkey:
The nearest airport is Antalya (about 1.5 hours drive along the coast road from Mahmutlar). You can fly there from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester. As the popularity of Turkey increases there will certainly be more airlines offering low cost flights so please do not take this as a comprehensive list. We have found that the cheapest flights seem to be on a Tuesday.

Currencies: Turkish Lira is the obvious choice. Most shops and restaurants also take Euros and some take sterling.

Language: Turkish is the main language, much German is spoken and many people do speak English. Most restaurants list menus in English.
